CALLING ALL MYSTERY READERS!
I would like to invite any parents, older siblings, grandparents, relatives, or other special people to surprise your child by being a “Mystery Reader” this year in our classroom. Students LOVE having their family, friends, and relatives visit our classroom to share in our learning by reading a favorite story aloud to our class. Mystery Readers will visit us at 2:25 p.m. on Fridays.
If you would like to sign-up but Fridays simply don’t work for you, please let me know and we can work things out for another day. Readers are asked to bring a favorite book from home or to let me know if they need to borrow a book to read to the class.
If you are interested in coming in and reading to us please do! We’d LOVE to have as many interested participants as possible this year. It is such a treat for the kids!
When you have decided on a date please let me know. You can either email me your preferred date or send a note in a “top secret” envelope to school with your child. I will get back to you as soon as I can to confirm your official Mystery Reader date. Please give me at least one week’s notice so that I can arrange everything for your visit! You will receive an email request for five clues about yourself and a reminder email as your date approaches.
Remember, you are a mystery to the class, so try not to tell your child when you will be coming! Please contact me if you have any further questions. We can’t wait to meet our Mystery Readers!
